I have downloaded customer made pois from the website and placed them into internal/USA_and_Canada maps folder. Afterwards I discount the tomtom one xl from the computer using tomtom home, device menu and disconnect device. I also restart the tomtom one xl. When I go into navigate and select POI and search i always get No POI Found. I have searched and am not sure what I am not doing. Will someone please give me specific instructions. I am working on a Mac.
Maybe this will help
Make sure you activate the particular POIs that you want to appear on the screen - select the CHANGE PREFERENCES menu and select SHOW POI ON MAP menu then check/select the POI's that you want to appear!
Did you download the POI icon/bmp as well? If not then the POIs will appear as RED BOXES.
Try searching/posting question(s) here as well: www.tomtomforums.com - that's the un-official TomTom forum dealing only with TomTom's.
Hope this helps!
Mike
