Getting the speed variable out of the speedcamera.csv

I use Igo8, currently I tried manually re-formating the speedcamera.csv file from this site to put it into my device. Am I doing this right or is there an easier method. evil

It sounds crazy but to get hold of the actual speed value, as it is combined with other data in the same field I copy/paste line by line.. it is driving me mad! confused

Use GeePeeEx

You could use GeePeeEx Editor to convert the .csv file to a .gpx thus allowing you to set the speed for each camera. The product is only $17.99 and can be found here.

EDIT: Here is more information using POI filenames.

Excel or a text editor

If you have excel or a text editor then load the file into one of those and just do a search/replace on the speed strings and "replace all" to change them.

What exactly are you trying to do with the speed values? If you're trying to set individual speed alerts for each POI, see:

I discussed here http://www.poi-factory.com/node/18773

Igo8 uses the following format
X,Y,type,speed,dirtype,dir

As you can see it has a field for the speed, but the files here appear to have the speed in the description field. Right now I copy/paste
