Garmin POI to Magellen POI

Good day all,

I have both Garmin and Magellan GPS's. I have a custom garmin map (.img) on an SD card that gets loaded from the SD card that has custom POI's located under FOOD in the searches.

Is it possible to extract these POI's from the img so I can convert them for use on my Magellan?

Nope. Unfortunately not.

If you have the ability to load the IMG file to MapSource, then you could attempt to save each one individually as a Waypoint. Then you could save the file and convert it to a Magellan compatible format.
