Best Breakfast Sites

I was thinking it would be great to have a list of the best breakfast joints. I'm talking about the homemade buiscuit and gravy places, the type of places you can still get a pork tenderloin buiscuit with hoop cheese. Fastfood joints sure get old quick. What do yall think??

Hoop Cheese

Apparently, there are two types, hard and soft. I've only had the hard type of cheese. It's kinda like cheddar.

Mr. A's is good for a big Ham Steak, Ham & Eggs, Ham & Cheese Omelet's, etc. Sure, there's Steak, and all the other stuff - but they're big on ham. Located in a small strip-mall. Reminds me of the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld - they can and have thrown people out (we reserve the right to serve...)

Egglectic Cafe wasn't really friendly for a family with little kids, but for the grown up crowd they're ok. In a former Denny's building.

My mistake, I thought the title read Bed & Breakfast! I really need to get my eyes checked!

As a frequenter of B&B, I can tell you from experience that you have to make reservations the day before and then stay over night to earn an invite to breakfast. It's more like a Motel with breakfast included in the price.

I've found that most B&Bs pride themselves on serving a top notch breakfast. It's more fun than your typical Hotel, because you get to meet everyone who stayed the night. Everyone gets invited to breakfast, and sits at the same table.

There is no menu, your typically get your choice from two or three items.

Maureen's Kitchen

For the Smithtown / Stony Brook, Long Island area try Maureen's Kitchen,108 Terry Rd,Smithtown,NY 11787,
