POI Loader not loading on Nuvi 760 with 4.60 update

After several months of loading custom poi's using Garmin's POI loader I am now unable to load anything. This seems to have started after updating the firmware to revision 4.60. When I load the poi's in express or manual mode, when I get to the last poi the screen says complete very quickly. With 21.5 MB of poi's that I load, this normally takes close to a minute or so, and now after only 10-15 seconds it says complete and successful.
When I look in the Nuvi, none of the poi's were loaded. I have tried uninstalling POI Loader and re-installing with no luck. I have removed all poi's and have also tried loading to the SD card. Same problem each time.
Not sure if it's related, but it also seems that when I connect the Nuvi to the computer that it loads up faster than it ever has. The green line goes very quickly across the screen. This would normally take 30-45 seconds, but now it's taking 10-15. Seems like a coincidence to me.
I too had the studdering problem and the scrolling of the custom poi's after updating to 4.60. I switched the voice from Jill to Jack, and the studdering went away. Now I have this new problem.
I am using my laptop and am away from home for another week, so I am not able to determine if this is a problem with my laptop or something with the Garmin.
Anyone else ever experience this?
Try renaming the old file before copy/pasting on the folder.
That worked for me.
Which Folder
Which folder are you referring to. The poi.gpi folder in Garmin\POI?
Found somewhat of a fix
After frustratingly trying for hours to get my poi's to load I may have figured out the problem.
I used to set all of my poi's up in folders. In POI Loader I would choose my main folder, and in that folder I had numerous other folders such as food, office supplies, building supplies, electronics, etc. Each of these folders had numerous poi's such as in office supplies I had Office Depot, Staples, Office Max, etc. This way when I wanted to search for something in my Nuvi, I could search for just the category I wanted, like office supplies.
Apparently after the 4.60 update, I am no longer able to load folders. This is a major hit for me. I am now considering downgrading to version 4.20 to see if this rectifies the problem. I read on several posts that when you downgrade you lose bluetooth functionality. Is this still the case? If so I will have to decide what I need more, folders or bluetooth.
@Greg2561
You'll only lose Bluetooth functionality if you backdate from 4.x to 3.x/2.x (or drop a full version number). If you backdate from 4.x to a lower 4.x version (in your case 4.60 to 4.20), you'll be fine and the backdate process is simple. Backdating from 4.x to 3.x/2.x is another matter as far as being simple.

Bluetooth
You only lose the bluetooth if you go below 4.0 or 4.1 to 3.x I think. I am still at 2.6 - but it is well documented.

Great
Thank you, that helps a lot. After more tinkering, I have been able to load some folders, but not all. I am beginning to think I may have a corrupt folder or file. I am having to add one folder at a time for each load to see what is and what is not what is not loading. It's just strange that this occurred right after my update to 4.60.
When I backdate the version, will it wipe out all poi's and settings or just the firmware?
Limitations
There are limitations on the number of "files" you can have per folder. If I remember correctly it is 31. So if you have more csv files than that per folder, you will need to split them out. See if that helps.

Backdating will clear whatever OS settings you've changed on the unit (like display options, avoidances, etc) so be prepared for that. POI's will remain intact. Favorites -may- be cleared but I'm not certain. To be safe, back them up: Copy x:/Garmin/GPX/current.gpx to another disk. If you need to restore them for whatever reason, copy them back to the nuvi drive into the same folder but use a different name (such as backup.gpx) and the nuvi will do the rest.

Problem solved
Thank you guys for all your input. I have traced the problem down to one particular folder in my group, and most likely one csv file. I moved some of the files I needed from that folder to a new folder and all my original poi's loaded. There must be one of the files in that folder corrupted or something.
I guess I jumped the gun on the 4.60 update, but it was too much of a coincidence for me.
Thanks again DorkusNimrod, ZedRight, and dkeane for your input. At least I learned a few things about downgrading and folders.
Thank you.

Bad POIs - Effect on Nuvi
Months ago I started to have difficulty with changing the vehicle icons on my Nuvi. The scroll bars didn't work no matter how many vehicles I had in the folder. Eventually, the Nuvi would recognize only a single vehicle in the vehicle folder. I contacted Garmin technical support but did not pursue since everything else worked okay and I needed the Nuvi then for a cross country trip.
Months later, after much satisfactory use otherwise, I suddenly found that I could no longer transfer information to and from MapSource. The transferred information would end up properly in the Nuvi’s Temp.gpx file, but the Nuvi would not automatically import favorites or allow importation of any routes. Also, the Nuvi would not write out the Current.gpx file which is the output file for backup and/or transfers to MapSource etc. This was a major problem for me since I extensively use these features.
After much fiddling (including master resets, deleting and reloading favorites etc etc), I feared that the Nuvi's file directory may have become corrupted and that I would have to do a reformat and restore from my backup files. But then I recalled that I had loaded some new POI files just before the latest problem materialized. As a long shot, I deleted all my POI's. Wonder upon wonders, everything (INCLUDING my longstanding problem with changing vehicles!) worked okay again. I then updated my POI files and reloaded and things have been great since.
So something gone awry (corruption etc) with your POI files can certainly create some weird problems with the workings of the Nuvi. I also noticed that the “green line” moved much more quickly than usual when I connected the Nuvi to the computer. That was likely because the Nuvi wasn't writing any information to and from its internal memory. Once I fixed my POI files, this “symptom” disappeared.
