Zipcode search

I am a new user and someone told me you can search by zipcode rather than the town. My first trip with my Nuvi 350 was between two towns and I didn't know which one to enter. I had the road address but not the town. Does anyone know if this can be done? I can't seem to find any info on it.

Garmin -

As far as i know Garmin units do not let you search by zipcode. There is a zipcode file here that you can search if you download.

Just to add a note, the US map data does not contain searchable zip code data. The Canada map data does contain searchable postal code data.

As noted above, the zip code Custom POI file is a work around. Be sure that you do NOT open the file in Microsoft Excel on your computer.

I have a 750 so I'm not positive if the screens are the same on 350.

Where To -> Address -> then you should have two options for city - Spell City or Search All. Just select Search All. It will then ask for the address and street. As you type in the street it will provide you with a list of possible results within your state.
