POI Verifier - Application cannot be started

I have attempted to download the POI Verifier program but seem to have a glitch somewhere. After setup.exe starts running a message comes up and states ...."Application cannot be started - contact the application vendor". Has anyone got any ideas about what I might need to do to correct this.

Thank you ..........

In order to run this program, 'Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or Higher' is Required. This is a free download from Microsoft. The error you describe is exactly the error you will get if you do not have .Net Framework on your computer. .Net Framework 3 is also available. It also works with POI Verifier.

Please let me know if this solves your problem.

.Net Framework 2.0 or higher required ....

I downloaded/installed .Net Framework 3.0 even though 2.0 was on my computer (1.1 was still there also) but it still comes up with the same error message. Could it be that it is not recognizing I have the software at all?

My computer is a Dell Dimension 8250 and have never had any software installation-type problems. I certainly appreciate any coaching you may be able to give.

Thank you ....

.net framework

Go online to ms and test your .net framework to make sure it is installed properly!

.Net Framework 3.0 Installation

I verified the correct installation of 3.0 by reviewing the register according to MS ....

The only other possibility that I can think of is that recently I purchased a register editor(RegCure) to clean up my system. Could I have removed something that was necessary for .Net Framework?

I downloaded the Verifier software to my laptop and it worked fine so I will try to figure out the problem with this one at a later date.

Thank you for your help ..........

POI File Verifier

Does this happen with both the zip and exe files?

I would try uninstalling both .Net Framework and POI File Verifier; then reinstall .Net Framework first followed by POI File Verifier.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, I can try re-compiling the program and upload it again.
