Updates to POI files as new locations are created

Not sure if I should of created a new post for this question.
Right now we get constant updates to the Redlight camera POI files. But, who is responsible for the rest of the POI files that were created by each contributor?
There are few POI files that I have downloaded but since I live in a rapidly growing part of Atlanta, new POI's have been created.
So is there a methodology for updates for the general POI files that we have created?

Right now, if you have minor updates to a file, you can send them to the original creator (or Miss poi) via the user contact form.
Longer term, I plan to add features that will make it easier for file to be maintained by a group of people. Groups will be organized around local areas or special interests, and each file will be associated with a group.
