What is the recommended procedure for update requests?

If there is an a problem with a location, send the corrected info to the contact person on the poi. If they do not respond, then you can let miss poi know and she will fix it.

Some files have a project page, and you can add your info that way.

It is helpful if you know the line # of the info that needs to be corrected. If you open the latest file in excel, and then say it is line 101 or something.

I have a similar question. I downloaded a file and noticed that the newest location is not on it. What is the procedure for either adding that information or sending the new information to the author?

The best way is as Daniel stated, send the correction to the POI author or maintainer. If there is no answer, send it to Miss POI or post it as a correction on the discussion boards. It will get handled.
