Huge ^5 to Garmin International CS >>>>

Pam developed problems with her C330 receiving sat signals...I called Garmin, they put me through two simple fix routines which did not work...the CS rep say "nope that's a hardware problem, send it on back and we'll fix it or replace it"...immediately issued me an RMA/Warranty # and gave me their UPS # so the shipping is free...That is great customer service!!!

Any product can develop problems it's how the company deals with it that reveals how good they really are to their customers...Props to Garmin

Let us know the outcome.

Out of curiosity, what were the fix routines they had you try.

Thumb in lower right corner while holding power switch and hard reset...NO JOY! Battery is not holding a charge and sats were not hooking up...10-14 day turn around but they could not have been any nicer about the whole thing smile

****UPDATE****

Whatever the problem, Garmin replaced the unit under warranty. We started having problems with the new unit and the total reset seems to have fixed the problem.

FYI the screen on the new C330 seems more 5xx like now in terms of brightness and clarity. Still not as good as the 5xx but to my eye a marked improvement.

I noticed the same with my

I noticed the same with my new c340 that they replaced me for as well. Screen is a lot brighter than my original one sent for repair/replacement. One thing you got better than I did was the UPS# for free shipping so I guess it does depend on who you talk too which is not good customer service because their process should be uniform and the rep I spoke to provided me with RMA# but no UPS# for shipping....
