760 'Low Battery' Question

I leave my Nuvi plugged in all the time in my car. So it's always getting charged. Three times now I've received a 'low battery' warning. Twice when I have shut the car off and AFTER I get the message to power off or not. Once when I removed it from the mounting to enter some information.
How can the battery be low when it's constantly charging? Is that the problem? Do I need to run the battery down and then recharge it completely?
To add to the mystery, when I go to the menu screen, the battery shows fully charged and green!
Nuvi 750 Battery order
I will not recommend any vendor on Ebay. You take your chances when purchasing from Ebay or any other vendor on the web. I much prefer to deal with sites like CraigW mentioned above since I feel they have more to lose.
In fact, I loaned my 750 out to my daughter one month ago and got it back with a battery that would not hold a charge. I ordered a new battery (with tools) from SMAVtronics ($15.99 battery and $6.87 shipping) this morning. Shipping can be cheaper if you want to wait for 6 to 8 days.
I don't know how this will work out, but will update if needed after the fact.
The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin'.
