650 vs 1490T

I was in downtown Vancouver,BC the other day. I had both units on side by side. The 650 showed all the hotels and buildings' name, plus the up coming street name...The 1490T...nothing!

Don't know how you have them setup...they are two completely different units. I had a 650 previously and it didn't show me any hotel or buildings names. Have no idea what screen you are seeing this info...

Magellan gps units show POIs but not Garmin.

Read all the problems that all the 7X5 are having. Had 3 of them and sent all of them back. Have a 1390T, so far so good.

I also returned three of them...nothing but problems...Got a 1490T and much better...Unfortunately I don't think you can buy a Garmin product that doesn't have some kind of issue...There quality control really does suck. Their firmware fixes usually cause other problems.
