Loading POI

I am running into the problem that the POI files are not loaded to the NUevi 660. New POI software downloaded. But the errror message tells me that the device is not ready. I have access to the Garmin through my computer, deleted files to make sure the mem is OK.
Has anybody had the same problem? any help?
Couple Questions
What version POI Loader do you have - 2.5.3?
What Operating System on your PC - Vista, XP?
Are you waiting a few seconds after connecting your 660 to the USB port before starting POI Loader?
