Help with 2730 map settings

The manual on the 2730 is really lacking. Can someone explain what the settings under Zoom Level Detail do? I would really like more detail when zoomed out. The settings are like Streets: Off, Auto, 120ft, 200 ft, etc. I have tried several settings and never see any change.

Go To Page 39 of your manual it will tell you how to set your mapping to see the detail you want
one thing to do is to change your mapping from normal to most

2730 Zoom
I have a 2730 and unfortunately, you cannot get it to display a huge amount of detail when you are zoomed out.
It's seems that the more you are zoomed in, the more detail you get.
I'm sure that is intentional.... if you are zoomed out the amount the screen just would not allow all of the details in the POI files.
I do wish it displayed a little more than it does though.
No way to change that. ( That I know of )
I think that pretty much all of the GPOS untis are similar to that.

OK, I agree with that... but what are the settings I mentioned good for? I do have my detail setting to Most.

If you get into an area with lots of detail (New York City for example), you might want to decrease the detail to declutter the map. Also, if your unit has problems refreshing the map, you might want to decrease the detail. Otherwise, you are fine leaving it on Most.
