So, I may be transfering down to San Antonio for work and was wondering how accurate the GPS will be. I know with all the construction on the 410 and side access roads along 410 and 35, just wondering if the GPS jumps around alot? I was there in 2005 for work, but can't recall.

The GPS will be as accurate in San Antonio as it is at your current location. It's the maps that will not show all the construction or changes but the GPS will dutifully show you out in what used to be a field.

I live in Houston but have used the systme in SA and have had good luck with the maps. I am using 2008 mapes still
I was in SA this summer but
I was in SA this summer but drove very little around town except to get back to the airport. There were some construction detours near the airport exit when I had to return the rental car that the GPS obviously didn't know about but I was able to figure it out easily enough and it got me close.
It helps to know what roads you need to go on so when you see the detour signs you know where you have to go. Don't just rely on the GPS to tell you to turn left at the next exit.
Nuvi 750
Thanks
Well, I've used a Lowrance 350 back in 2005 when I was there, but haven't used my Garmin. I'll try it out when I get there.

Planning a short trip to San Antonio
Planning a short trip to San Antonio next month and will take the Nuvi 760 along. Will check traffic performance while there.
San Antonio
I made numerous trips to San Antonio from April through August and I did find that with all the construction that my Nuvi 680 got confused many times while in the construction areas of 410. The Nuvi would regularly think that I had turned off 410 and would start recalculating and sending me all different weird directions. This problem usually occurred on 410 near the airport in the construction zone but once away all was fine.
I hope they have some of that construction finished up by the time you arrive - it was quite a mess last year.

Officer I'm sorry I was going the wrong way on that one-way street but my GPS told me to turn left ... Oh, I'm still getting a ticket, okay then the GPS will see ya in court!
SA and the GPS
I recently moved to the SA area. My 330 does not have updated maps. It does well enough that I do not have any major problems. Just watch the signs, you'll get where you are going.
I just got back from San Antonio
I was in San Antonio last week (my company is building the new terminal at the airport). I wouldn't rely on the GPS near the airport, since there are several new ramps between IH-410 and US-281. Also, on the double-decker portions of IH-10 and IH-35 near downtown, it's best to follow the signs (although for thru traffic it actually doesn't matter which level you choose).
