Question about pictures

I like to view the pictures on my trail cam with my Garmin NUVI 200w. It’s really easy and doesn't take as long time like it does to view them on my blackberry. My question is, can you copy the pictures from the SD card onto my Garmin? Thanks

Maybe shrink for best memory use

You can view them right from the SD card. If you want to put them on your Garmin itself, you may want to shrink copies of them down to 480x240 (or I think jpgs that came on my 750 were 480x232) to minimize memory use.

I use Image, Scale on the "gimp" to resize images after cropping them to about a 2:1 ratio of width to height. Free versions for unix, Windows, or Mac OS X are at http://www.gimp.org/

You can set an image for the splash screen on gps boot.

SD Card

You can take you SD card and put it into your 200W. Just pop it out of your camera and insert it into the slot on the side of your Garmin 200W. Then go into your Nuvi 200W tools menu, and access the "picture viewer". On my 255W there is a slide show button. I believe you 200W also has this feature. Just make sure that your 200W is off before you slide the SD card in or out. Not real sure about "hot swapping". (That is, putting the SD card in or taking it out with the unit being ON). Hope this helps.

No, Not With The Garmin

No, there is no way to copy pictures from the SD card to the internal memory using the Garmin. You can obviously copy the pictures using a computer, but there is no way to do it using the Garmin.
