Chit Chat Thread for the week of October 27, 2008

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

Have fun...

This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

Long summer days

I guess that would be me!

I would much rather have the long summer days, In the winter I tend to less out doors when it's cold anyway. Not that I don't do the winter things, but it's hard to go for a walk on a beach under the stars when it's 20 degrees or have a deck party when theres 4 inches of snow on the deck.

I realize that there are parts of North America that are warm in the winter, However those parts are far and far between when looking at the big picture.

So for me:
Warm = Daylight (Summer)
Cold = Not so much Daylight (Winter)

I'm with you! B-)

Another nice day in Florida.

Another nice day in Florida.

C340

I paid an extremely low price for my C340 and love it. However, I like new toys, been looking at the new Garmins. Just cannot find anything about them that would make me pay the "big" prices for. Bluetooth I don't need nor traffic network. Wish Garin would start a poll for the features folks would like and at what price. I know their marketing folks them tell the above, but traffic network in a town with one stoplight? There are a lot of these "one stoplight" towns and folks out there.

Halloween in the mid 60s in Chicago

Great Halloween this past Friday. It was in the mid 60s here in Chicago. Lost of people on their porches handing out treats to the kids!

It is dark too early

Why don't we just keep daylight saving time year round. It is now to dark when I get home from work to do any work outside.
