Stolen GPS and Laptop.

A person on GpsPassion web site posted that he had his Nuvi and laptop lifted from his car. Someone posted on here not long ago of one they had, and thought it may be stolen, but I can't find the post to get the guys together. It's a long shot, but you never know.
Finally, I'm back for the time being, got everybody well, and hopefully can get a POI finished that I have started. 'Cause I'm going to be in Florida for a couple of weeks in March. It's the first time I have got to use my Nuvi on a long trip. Now......., just gotta tell you guys this..... I know an astronaut that is flying on the next shuttle, and he invited my wife and I to be his VIP Guest at the Cape to see the launch on the 15th. I Never expected anything like that. Not bragging, just excited.

Hey Roberto660
That sounds really exciting. Interested in any photos you bring back. Expect your GPS will guide you well. Now it would be really cool if you got the astronaut to take the GPS with him on his next trip.

Very cool, reminds me of a story of what happened to my wife and I.

We were traveling around Florida, Tampa to Jacksonville down to Ft. Lauderdale back around Alligator Alley and up the west cost to return to Tampa. Anyway we stopped in Titusville for breakfast after a night in Daytona Beach, and as we were in the pancake house people started lining up outside with lawn chairs. We went out and waited after we ate and thought how cool it would be just by chance to see the shuttle launch. After about a half hour wait we were disappointed in finding out all the hoopla was for a parade which we were then stuck in until it ended. It was still an unforgetable trip.

BTW...where are you heading in Florida?

I expect I'll have a few photos. I wonder what a GPS would do in space? That would be interesting. It may be hard to get a fix on the sats. though going that fast.

oh yeah

pictures would be great. Never seen one really take off. My Garmin got me all through Florida for a whole week. The only problem i had was it finding places to eat that were no longer standing. You know there is no restaurant around when you end up in a neighborhood. Good luck and safe journey. Make sure you have something to do on alligator alley because that is the most boring ride ever. I timed the longest amount of time i could not touch my steering wheel before i got too close to the median or other side (yes it is that straight =)
