Let's hear from you,

Lets hear what the community has to say or think about this topic.

Is Garmin an all American company?

1) Where is the headquarters?
2) Where are they engineered?
3) Where are the products made? And different models?
4) Where are they assembled?
5) Where are they packaged?
6) Where is tech support located?
7) Do they actually make their own maps? or edit them?
8) Do they run their ABS Injection molding for cases,
& mounts or are they third party supplied? And where from?

That's what a Troll is

Actually, I think that is the precise definition of a Troll - to post a statement that is intended to provoke a heated discussion.

I don't think that is what Bob intended, though.

my only problem with garmin is they keep changing prices and have many similar models with very little changes. I think they are good with customer service for the most part.

And YOUR definition is......

If not "trolling" for an arguement, then WHAT ??

I quit. Regardless of motive or intent, neither the original thread nor what it has degenerated into makes any positive contribution to the site.

Actually the common census

Actually the common census here is that BobDee stands down.

I agree about the definition of "Troll" and BobDee fits the profile, in how he's responded in this thread.

Re: We have a Bingo

Thanks Bob,

All I did is basic company-background checking. I'm used to doing this type of research for investment purposes. After all, I want to know to who, and where my hard-earned money goes, and under what jurisdiction it falls.

I think POI-Factory should continue to be a place to find answers, share information and to hold open and civil discussion.

Krieger.

Re: No it's not

I agree Phil,

I if anything, became a more educated consumer / potential investor from the experience.

You are very welcome, and also cool and collected.
I also agree that a forum is a place to share information. Poi-Factory being a thread base program makes it so those that don't agree with what is being discussed don't have to partake in the conversation or even see it unless they want to.

Then there are those that feel they know what is best for everyone else, even if that lowers them down to name calling and belittling of others rather than just clicking back out and leaving the thread.

Thanks for taking the time and using Google to find the answer. Which I recommended to all early on.

Your communication skills show that you are well educated and have the ability to perceive what is asked and then answer without prejudice. You are truly a great Member of this Community.

I will not communicate to those that communicate in a negative or childish manor in the future.
