Overactive Auto-zoom in C330?

One of our GPS units is a C330. Whenever a route is activated, it usually defualts to the 800 ft zoom mode. Even when I manually zoom out, it reverts back to 800 ft. My other units choose a zoom rate of about 1/2 of the total area. If the road segment is 30 miles, it shows a 15 mile zoom rate.
Does any other c330 users have this problem? Any suggestions?
Probably a software update would be the only answer.

Wow, I just started another thread auto-zooming on my 260. I must have just started typing it when you posted!
Anyways, I don't know what zoom levels I'm seeing, as the arrival time window goes in place of the zoom level on the 260 when a route is selected. Also, mine only seems to zoom in when getting on the highway, not just by selecting a route. They're different models anyways, so I'm not sure if there would be any commonality in that regard.
But I wonder if this is a similar thing going on, so this may also help in my search for the governing factors of auto-zooming.
