Turn off Defaul proximity alerts with downloaded POI

when i load my POI's there are some that by default has proximity alerts turned on, so i have to manually go through all my POI's to turn them off.

Is there something i can edit in the file itself, so that everytime i load my poi's in the loaded, i dont have to go through them all, some examples are white castles, and 7-11. Thank you

Get rid of numbers in the filenames

Numbers in the filenames will cause POILoader to assume those are speed alert files. Rename your files without any numbers in the filenames and reload them.

Yes sir that is in fact

cool Yes sir that is in fact very true. I used to do daily pois where I would be and name it day 1 and so on and sure enough I had speed warnings so someone here suggested using Roman numerals or something else to discern a new day.

Note on the file

There is a note on the White Castle file: "Note(7-25-2007)be sure to delete '_V3' from the file name or it will sound an alert."

hey thanks a lot, appreciate

hey thanks a lot, appreciate the quick response, i didn't mind manually deselecting it in poi loader, but got more annoying as i accumulated more of these fine poi's from this site, thank you.

POI file version numbers

I like to use version numbers in my POI files, and do so by incorporating the month, day, and year. The resulting number is outside of the spec that will trigger a speed warning. i.e. v092808.
