Update Maps on a Mac from a Nuvi 780

Is there a way to upgrade the base maps in Bobcat using the pre-loaded maps on my 780?

I don't have access to a PC anymore and cannot use that route to upgrade them.

Thanks,

Bill L

No. You need to call Garmin and ask them for the disk. You can't transfer the maps from your GPS unit to Bobcat (or MapSource for that matter).

If you already have the update DVD or download, those are compatible with Macs.

Here are the requirements.

Mac®:

* Any Intel-based Mac or PowerPC G3 or later Mac
* 512 MB RAM
* OS X 10.4 or later
* 1024 x 768 display
* 3 GB free disk space
* USB port
* DVD drive

Also, you might want to check Garmin's website. Bobcat has been replaced by RoadTrip.
