Proximity Alerts (by radius not route)

I'm creating poi files programatically from asp.net,sql and poi loader.
I have validated the gpx files prior to uploading with poi loader and they are perfect.
When I use in Garmin sat nav I only get alerted when the poi is on my current route and never correct with my set proximity distance, I've heard about TourGuides but I need to create Proximity Alerts (by radius not route)programatically.
Try These

Numbers less than 125 in your file names could cause this. I have not had this problem using POI Loader in manual mode for yourname specs.csv at 5000 and 10000 ft.

Numbers can be used in conjunction with the phrase "TourGuide" to change the alert-distance, without having to resort to Manual mode.
POILoader uses them to compute the distance, based on the 36 second rule. It then discards the Speed information, because TourGuides are not actually Speed-related. It's probably not intentional and could well be removed in the future.

Yes, I understand

Yes, I understand using the numbers <125 but find I dislike seeing the huge word "Tourguide" or "Tourguide XXX" on my custom poi groups. So I use "specs" at the end of the file name to keep file names shorter.

But the two 'magic' words instruct POILoader to do different things.
The phrase "SPECS" (which is the name of a fancy number-plate-reading European Average Speed Camera!) http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&op=Su...
instructs POILoader to set a 1320' "Along Road", Proximity Alert for every POI in the file. (The phrase is not case-sensitive).
The (case-sensitive) phrase "TourGuide" in the name of a csv/gpx file does nothing by itself. However, if there is a matching .MP3 (or. WAV) file with the same name (ie also with TourGuide in it), then every POI in the file becomes a TourGuide alert.
It's not likely that this was intentional...it would make for a boring 'tour', since every POI plays the same audio. It can still prove useful, in certain circumstance though.
A more 'normal' method of creating a TourGuide alert, is via the <link> statement in a gpx file (linking either directly to a .MP3/.WAV with TourGuide in its name, or to a directory that contains such a file).
A "TourGuide" alert is different from normal Custom Audio in several respects.
