I love (a.k.a. really really like) mine. Only way to go for portability and no hassles.
Hope you're not flying loops or barrel rolls though.

I'm no pilot but am an aviation buff. The second might be a link to the auto pilot. Just a guess...

The thicker one is the power and the thinner one goes to the external antenna, which looks to be hidden behind the top of the dash.
