Memory on a Nuvi 750?

Have some Newbe questions please...
How much memory is on my 750?
If I add a memory card will it act as additional memory or do I have to put stuff on the card separately from the internal memory?
I am computer literate but I have not been able to find these answers I needed before buying a memory card. I am real interested in all the POI's I see on this great site and will need to use some of them within 2 weeks.
We are going to Virginia from Michigan and will be in the DC area as well.
Thanks.

Memory
The easiest way to determine the amount of memory available on your GPS is to connect it to your PC with a USB cable. Windows (assuming you are using some flavor of Windows) will assign it a drive letter and then you can find it in My Computer or a Windows Explorer window. Right click on it and then choose properties. You should then see how much room is available and the total storage present.
As far as a memory card, you can either store POI's on one or on the GPS itself. Makes no real difference. There is probably plenty of room on your GPS but lots of people use memory cards (me included). I just prefer to keep the internal storage "clean" and keep the add-ons separate.

Delete stuff you won't use
... foreign languages in text, speech and help files. This will free up tons of memory in your nuvi 750. Unless you need those, of course ...

Menkaure - I would advise against you trying to delete unnecessary files at this time. You should just buy a memory card if you need additional memory.
The reason I say this is that if you cannot figure out on your own how to check the available memory on your GPS, then you should NOT be deleting files. As others have found out the hard way, it is very easy to delete important system files which could cripple your GPS.
