.gpx vs. .csv files

Hello out there.
I have a Garmin Nuvi 760 and I would like to know if someone can ell me what the difference is between .gpx and .csv files? Is one better than the other?

The gpx format is much more sophisticated and allows different alerts and distances for each location within a file. I also allows BT users do have dialable phone numbers. More information can be posted as well.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
