I want to upload the fire hydrant icon to my nuvi200 so i can log all the hydrants in our distict on the gps. Is there a way to get the icon uploaded to the map symbols?

Thanks for the info, Bentbiker. I might try the reset option next time. I only have a few favorites saved, so if it didn't work, no big deal. I need to search and find out how to reset though.

Ok I see where I have made

Ok I see where I have made my mistakes i have been renaming the files on the computer before uploading them instead of renaming the file on the GPS. I have them in my Gps under diffrent names and they all show up under Extras=custom POI Is there a way to combine all of those files together under a folder called hydrants instead of each of my uploads being diffrent names. On the Screen shot i noticed that you navigated to D:\ Garmin\My Poi on my Gps I dont have that option only POI I assume this is a file you create on the computer for the GPS unit to organize the uploads you do. So can I go in Garmin\poi and add a folder there and name it hydrants and put all my uploads into it? I think the more I try this the more confused I get however all my hydrants are showing up on the screen now so I am making some progress.

Hydrant folder

Go to your desktop, create a new folder and name it something like POI. Open up that POI folder and create one and name it Hydrants. Dump all of your files in the hydrants folder. Use POI Loader to upload it to your device. When you reach the point where it asks you for the directory that contains the files, select the POI folder (the first one you created). That will put the files into a folder under Custom POI's.

I Got it.............Finaly

I Got it.............Finaly AHHHHHHHHHH. Ok I created the folders and made a master for my Gps and can now edit it as I add info to it and it all shows up under one list instead of hitting multiple ones.... Thanks to everyone for your patience with me and your help.. It means a lot ot me and the members of my Department as well as our community I am sure. At some point I will try to put the file up for everyone to see....Thanks Again.....

That's great! I love it when the idea comes on for a user. It makes all the time spent asking & answering questions worthwhile. Its as good a feeling for the helper(s) as for the helpee. smile
