voice prompt too late

it seems that the voice prompt is a bit late (garmin 350), sometimes too late. wonder if there's way we could change the timing of the prompt. or do we have to get used to it? Thanks in advance.

There's no way to change the timing.

Are you using the 3D mode? Try one of the 2D modes.

If you recently upgraded the firmware, it might be a side effect of a known issue in updates just put out by Garmin. Several other members here have upgraded, and found that our prompts that used to occur in the .3 to .5 mile range no longer occur.

I've contacted Garmin (as have MANY others) and they emailed back saying they were working on a solution asap.

V4.3 firmware??

Could this also be related to the new v4.3 firmware upgrade? I know there are many problems similiar to this reported with the 2XX series Nuvi (lots of other threads on this too). Garmin tech support acknowledged the problem yesterday when I had them on the phone and said a patch is in the works....no delivery date. Just my 2 cents worth since I'm running a 260.

Not sure if this will work but anytime I've had some issues following a firmware upgrade, I would simply try to upgrade it again and that might resolve it. Doesn't hurt to try.
