nuvi 660

Thanks for the heads up! We'll see if it brings any noticeable improvements to our 660.

used WebUpdater to install version 4.50 on my 660.

From the website:

Changes made from version 4.40 to 4.50:

* Improve handling of the situation where overlapping map data is present on the device.
* Fixed issue where fleet management interface messages can get stuck in the outbox.

It's dated July 1.

I guess there is still no fix for the conflict between the mp3 player & the mp3 audio alerts?!?

Must not be a high priority issue to Garmin.

Good thing we figured out how to load and use audio alert wav files instead. Great forum with knowledgeable folks!!!!

Does anyone know if the Nuvi 680 is getting updated also?

The updates page at:

doesn't show anything recent specifically for the 680. It does show late June - early July updates for Nuvis 5000, 660, 750, 760, 770, 850, 860, 880.

The conservative approach is to plug yours in and fire up the Web Updater -- it's going to be the expert on this one!

Got one for the 650 plug yours in and find out, it says for the 6xx series,

I plugged my 680 in and ran the web updater and it chose the 4.50 update.

I have the web updater but can I download any updates where is t says download whatever update or do I have to run the updater?

But it's much easier to use the web updater... It checks for all the updates available for your unit...
