Setting POI Alerts using gpsBabel Command Line Utility.

I'm using gpsbabel to create poi's and proximity alerts, command line:
gpsbabel -i gpx -f "poi.gpx" -o garmin_gpi,alerts=1,proximity=100m
-F "poi.gpi" .
It never seems to alert though, any ideas?
