Google Earth is now in 3D

Dear Friends,

Google Earth was behaving strangely today and locking up on me. I therefore downloaded an update to see if that would resolve the problem. The picture is now in 3D and the coordinates are calculating to six decimal places instead of four.

Google Earth 3D

Are you working with Google Earth Pro. I have the "free" edition, and there doesn't appear to be an update...

Mine looks different after upgrade.

Go to Help ABOUT and if the version number is less than the following you can update the free version by clicking Check For Update.

Google Earth
4.3.7284.3916 (beta)
Build Date
Jul 8 2008

I would have a hard time describing the new look as 3D but still very nice ... and with slightly different movement controls, the better coordinates mentioned above, and now shows date of the photo on some panes (don't think that was there before??)

Date of Photos?

I don't necessarily trust that date on the photo pane.

It shows 7/31/07 for my house, but somehow my 18 foot round above-ground pool is hiding from view? It would have to be off by 4 months one way or the other.
