GPS hanger!

I just wonder that is it illegal to hang GPS under the winshiel?

Thanks

In california it is...

It's against the vehicle code to hang anything from your rearview mirror, but doesn't seem to be strickly enforced.
edit:
Hmmm: Maybe it isn't hang it from where? The windshiel

Yes, but...

Yes, it is illegal to stick the GPS on your windshield in California according to what I have read on here.

But, I find the dash pad far easier to use and hide. The windshield mount works fine, but is more difficult to take off and put back on.

.... it is not strictly enforced in CA. During my last couple of visits to Los Angeles over the last two months, I requested the car rental agent (from different agency each time) to show me their GPS. Both times, the product looked like a mini CRT monitor with SUCTION CUPS for the windshield. I also noticed many folks driving all over in the city with their GPS systems clinging to the windshields.

Thanks,

Thank you guy for the advices.

Get yourself a bean bag mount for your dash. They work great. If your dash is on a slope, hook a small piece of wire to your defrost vent to stop it from slidding. I have one and it works great and no tell tail marks on the windshield.
