330c - Memory

Somewhat confused with the discussions on not being able to use the added memory from a memory SD card for POIs...

What use is a memory card?

What is the difference between a 330 and a 330c?

Thanks!

Has anyone used a SD memory card to store POIs?

Garmin Answers!

If you believe the manufacturer...

"Increase available data storage and add to the capabilities of your Garmin unit with this Secure Digital (SD) memory card. Fast-loading and reliable, this small SD card can store 512 megabytes of MapSource data, allowing you to download detailed street-level mapping, points of interest, business addresses, phone numbers and more."

An SD card can only be used

An SD card can only be used on the C330 for additional maps/map products. It CANNOT be used to put Custom POIs that the GPSr can read directly.

No one answered in 20 minutes, soorrry. The previous answers are correct for the C330 (330, 330c and C330 are the same unit, btw)

Hmmmm Only a couple dozen minutes go by and you start to holler? Did you even search the forum for your answer?
The one given a few answers up is correct! You can only store map data on the SD Card.
