Recently I bought a Nuvi 350 & 360. The screen is much brighter and the sound is somewhat louder on the 350 compared to the 360. Also the AC and car charger are different between the two models. I was asleep when the UPS delivery came and instead of placing the packaging box on my door step, I later found the box under the apartment's mailboxes which was right next to the street's sidewalk and somebody could have easily taken the box along with the unit inside.

Long story short
Long story short my cousin gave me his nuvi 350. After I used WebUpdater the accuracy was worst and I couldn't reverse it back by downgrading the GPS firmware so I sold it on craigslist. Then I bought myself a Nuvi 360 for the Bluetooth function, I couldn’t see myself spending more for the 7XX model and plus I'm not comfortable with the internal antenna on the 7XX as well as the 2XX models. My parents found out and they were not too happy when I told them I sold the Nuvi 350 because they said it was a sentimental value gift from my cousin and I should've given it back if I didn't want it and also, he's coming to visit soon and might be asking for it. So Finally I bought a new Nuvi 350 to replace the one I've sold and told my parents that if my cousin wants it back then here's a new nuvi for him and if not then the nuvi will go to my dad.

Are you using the same voice (including version no.) on the two units. Your findings are surprising...
(I've subjected a few units to tests with a Sound Level Meter - I've not tested the 350, but my friend has one and I may need to borrow it...

Also, what is the difference in the car chargers?

At least that is what I hear, might just be me though but definitely the screen is brighter on the nuvi 350. I'm using the same voice but the nuvi 350 came with Software Audio 1.9 while the 360 is 1.8.

1.Another problem is that I can't access the nuvi 350 diagnostic page (holding the finger on the lower left or upper right screen of the unit when powering on won't work), could it be that my nuvi's firmware is 5.00 instead of the latest 5.50. My old nuvi 350 with firmware 5.50 and my nuvi 360 with firmware 4.40 work just fine.
2. I think I might’ve modified the XML file on the unit. Can someone verify that the Nuvi 350 XML file is at 21 KB? My other nuvi 350 and the nuvi 360 both have a rather 23 KB file.

You get to the 350's diagnostic screen by pressing and holding on the time display on the main page for 5 seconds. You get to the status page by pressing on the speedometer for 5 seconds.

New problem, my NT 2008 map
New problem, my NT 2008 map in the nuvi work just fine, however, the supplementary map NT 2009 in the SD card show the map and streets, but it won't show the special shaded area on the map. For example a shaded green area represent a park...etc
