POI noticies/warnings inconsistent - help!

I installed the traffic cam POI and sometimes I get warnings that cover the entire screen and other times I get warnings that are small little red "boxes" at the top of the map that don't cover the screen.
WHY?! Ugh. Is it a glitch? Is there something I can do to fix it? I'd remember which intersections do it one way versus the other but I know digging through the POI file is useless since it's all coordinates.
Anyone else experiencing this?

The bar at the top of my 350 usually turns red when I get the warnings, as well as getting the verbal warning. Occasionally, if the Nuvi is giving me turning instructions at the same time as I approach the red light camera zone, I get the verbal warning, but not the red bar at the top of the screen. Otherwise, the warnings appear to be consistent.

I believe you get the full screen alert if, and only if, you touch the screen while within alert range (at least on my 660). It took me a long time to figure it out.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I've seen the 'full screen' warnings, if I happen to be on something other than the normal 'Map' screen (usually the 'TripMeter' screen)...and yes, they're exceedingly annoying.
Also, the Nüvi 760's seemingly random choice of red or grey alert bars is still confusing me. (There must be a pattern, but I've not spotted it!)

Red -Grey Bars
I've noticed that when there is an alert set(proximity) that I am entering a speed limit zone I receive a alert GREY BAR. If I have set an alert to tell me that I am exceeding the speed limit I get a RED BAR.
This is on my Nuvi750.
