Nuvi 200 track logs and new software 4.10 vs. 3.40

I assume that the nuvi 200 is capable of putting down a track log. I see now there is a way to enable this:

Questions

Is there a way to do the bread-crumb thing with the Software version 4.10? (running the new 09 map update if that matters)

What functionality (if any) will I lose if I roll back the firmware to 3.40?

Is it just a simple matter of connecting the device and running the install file?

How exactly do I back up my favorites if I do roll back?

Is there a list of improvements or changes made between the two versions of the firmware?

I went ahead and applied all the updates to my unit, thinking this was the prudent thing to do.

Can I go back? What will I lose?

Ps, glad for the list; for an almost 200 dollar device, I'm profoundly disappointed with Garmin's documentation. I've purchased toasters with a better set of instructions. (no, I didn't read the directions.)

not for the toaster.

Roll Back

I rolled back to version 2.90 because that is the last stable version that still has the map scale. Didn't notice any loss of features. I never could get the track log working consistently with Version 3.40.

I don't have the info on me at the moment, but you can do a search to find instructions for backing up your Favorites and downloading previous firmware versions.

Roll back may not work...

My understanding is once the unit has been updated to lose the tracking log feature, it is gone for good. Rolling back the firmware will not bring it back (or so I have read).
