Directional POI Alerts? (Magellan 3225)

Hi group,
I noticed that my 3225 gives an alert both ahead of an object and again when leaving it. This occurs with my Rest Area and Red Light Cameras files, and is not caused by POI's on the other side of the road.
Is there any way to set it to trigger an alert only when approaching a POI?

Alerts
I believe you can do it by setting the angle to lower than 90 degrees i.e. somewhere in the 30-60 degree range, but you'll need to play with it a bit.

I did lower the angle for the Red Light alert down to 15 degrees, but there was no difference. I don't understand how larger angles would cause the unit to look backwards . Is it bidirectional?
Angles
Right now I'm using 50 for a while to play a bit more and tweak it, but it may be a limit on the unit itself...
Anyone else have a thought?

My 3225 isn't
My 3225 isn't "bidirectional".
I am using : 30 degrees and first alert at 300m and second alert at 100m for Red Light Camera.
For "Possible Speed Traps" I set 30 degrees, 1000m and 300m.
I am using one POI file at the time with multiple categories.
Now keep in mind that 15 degrees may cover a lot of area if you set the first alert to 3000m !

I have mine set for 15 degrees, which is about 7.5 for each side of the location of a redlight. Coming from the other direction I get no alert. You just have to play a bit.

Maybe its my distance settings. I have the first alert set to about 1500 ft. What are you using?

Distance
I use 600 ft for the first and 300 for the second. Or, just 300 for the first, your choice.
