I goofed, my question should have been, on my garmin 260, how do I turn my POI's "alerts" on??

When using the POI Loader application, before saving the POI's onto your unit, select the "Manual" option and set your proximity alerts.
Turning on POI Alerts
I assume the 260 is the same as my 660 in that you can disable POI alerts under Wrench/Proximity Points/Alerts-Change/Custom-POIs-checkbox. A check means alerts are ON.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
