new Garmin Plugin Communicator version 2.5.2 Update now available...

Can someone direct me to a website that uses this?

The specific sites that use the plugin are:
maps.google.com and www.mapquest.com

Search the POI Factory site using the keywords Garmin Plugin for more detailed information on the use of the plugin on Google or Mapquest.

Good news, updated versions for both Windows and Macintosh!

Installed the new plugin and tried to send a route from Mapquest to a Nuvi 750. MS Vista gives an error saying that Internet Explorer has stopped working and restarts IE.

Also tried sending a location from Google Maps and encountered a similar problem with the plugin.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

It looks like the changes are as follows:

Changes made from version 2.5.1.0 to 2.5.2.0:

* Enable unit software update from Garmin's support and map unlock pages.

Also http://www.takitwithme.com/ is another site that can download to Garmins directly with the plug in.

I assume you are referring to my post about takitwithme.com? If so, the answer is yes. Before Google and Mapquest added direct Garmin support, takitwithme.com could take Google maps you made and either download them directly into a Garmin unit (where they get added to the favorites) or could generate a GPX file that could be loaded by the Garmin POI Loader software into the Custom POI section of the unit.

Just to be clear. You can't download MAPS. You can download waypoints and if applicable, routes.
