Practically speaking, how much can be stored on a nuvi 260?

This site has been great for a new GPS user like me. I have now added voices (to the GPS; I already have enough in my head); charged from the computer with a generic USB cable; and added new vehicles. Thanks to all for your help and information.
But as I add things to my unit, I'm starting to wonder: How much space is there on my 260? Should I delete voices I don't plan to use to free up space? I assume that the custom vehicles don't take up much space, but I could delete a few of those as well.
Soon I will add POIs. I saw a discussion regarding whether to use SD cards or save POIs directly to the unit. For me, it would be easier to just load POIs onto the unit. But I assume that using the card would keep the internal space available.
Any thoughts or info? Thanks.
Space on nuvi
You can delete all language files that you don't want, help files in other languages, jpegs, mp3s, and vehicles. If you have he ability to play .aa files (audible audio) you can go to their website, get one or two free books and a utility that will load/unload to the GPSr and will display the size and amount of free space on the internal drive and sd card of your nuvi.
Unless you have every voice
Unless you have every voice and vehicle available, there is plenty of room on the 260 for as many POI's as you could possibly want. I have 7 vehicles, 13 voices, and more than 150,000 custom POIs, and I still have 170 mb of memory available on my Nuvi 260.
I'd just remove any voices that you don't plan on using, load only the vehicles that you really might want, and you will never run out of room for POI's. The POI's don't take up that much space.

Typically, I have found that you can get somewhere between 6,000 and 10,000 POI locations per MB of space.
