i jus recently got a nuvi 750 and updated it and i cant get it to work

i jus got it for an hour and i updated it and now im getting it to start up and it freezes..it'll get up to the garmin start up screen powered by sirfinstfixll and then jus stay there and not do anything....anyone have any suggestion on what to do before i send it back to garmin..thanx

Have you . . .

Done a reset?
Tried to reinstall the update?
Called Garmin?

Did you use WebUpdater to do the first update? There are many recommendations to do the updates by first downloading the executable file -- not doing the update while downloading the info. It is easy to really screw things up with the WeUpdater s/w. I learned the hard way.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

i tried resets it does the

i tried resets it does the same thing....i cant get past the start up screen so i cant do the update...i plugged it into my pc and it doesnt detect,i called up garmin n they said its nothing they can do over the phone and told me to send it back..yeah i think im learning that hard way myself

also where do u do a hard

also where do u do a hard reset on the phone...cuz i read it said hold the button on the right bottom corner and there is no right bottom corner

The manual says to erase all user info you should press the right hand bottom corner of the Nuvi (not a button) as you turn it on. The reset procedure, however, is to slide the power key to the left and hold for 8 seconds, and then turn it back on.
