fm transmitter

I am considering adding an fm transmitter to my nuvi 360. If I do will I have to keep my radio tuned to an empty fm channel at all times or can I listen to other channels?

If you want to hear your 360 Navigation instructions through your fm transmitter you need to keep your radio tuned to the frequency you have set on your gps. Obviously this needs to be an emplty frequency or you just have a bunch of interference to listen to.

I do this with my 760 and listen to mp3's playing through my gps. When the unit gives you navigation instructions it pauses the music then resumes when the instructions are finished. It works very well for me.

I tried one (it wasn't

I tried one (it wasn't expensive, just about $30) and I didn't like it for the fact that if I wasn't listening to mp3s all I heard was hissing noise which irriates me.
