Maestro 4250 and Bluetooth

Geneally, I've been very satisfied with my GPS, however I found the following anoying problem: when the unit in navigation mode and I connect my phone via bluetooth to it, the unit's CPU gets overloaded and it tends to track much slower, and very often looses ability to anounce street names, i.e. it says turn left to and then silence. In this case only reboot helps. Did you notice similar problems and know of work arounds?

Thank you.

If it hurts when you do that, don't do it!! mrgreen

That is, take it OUT of nav. if you must make a bluetooth connection after you start. It only takes a few seconds to recalculate and get "back on the road". OR Make your Bluetooth connection first, right after you turn it on.

Or are you saying it bogs down anytime both nav. and bluetooth are running regardless of what order they started?

My experience has been that

My experience has been that the unit doesn't handle when Bluetooth connection + Navigation + Red Light Cameras POI at the same time regardless of the order of input. Following combinations work:
1) Bluetooth + Red Light Cameras
2) Navigation + Red Light Cameras
Doesn't work Bluetooth + Navigation and loading Red Light Cameras makes it even worse. The order of input has no effect on performance. I am wondering is it my unit or a general problem with Maestro 4250 due to underpowered CPU.

Doesn't sound right for sure. Might want to seek out forums with more Magellan users:

Probably others; I haven't looked too hard.
