Magellan 3225

When the battery runs low, and I am in the middle of a trip, I pluggged the car charger into the unit, and got a screen that says" the USB cable is attached to your PC, and POIs can be downloaded..etc, etc" and will not let me rturn to the navigation screen until I disconnect from the charger..How do you get by this hiccup in the unit????

Is the charger cord you are using actually from Magellan or somebody else? Is the 3225 really intended to be charged from the USB connector? My 4000 has a seperate jack.

If it is from Magellan, I'd give them a call.
I got a replacement mobile cord from them when mine broke.....just 2 months old, but it wasn't a USB type.

If it is not a "real" Magellan cord, then you might be out of luck.

Return this unit to the customer, it is defective. My unit do not have this problem with the provided car charger from Magellan.

I've read in other forums that this could be the built in fuse (in the cigarette lighter plug). But, one question is, are you using a Magellan power adapter? This has cropped up with non-Magellan adapters.
