How do I put content on the SD card (c330)?

I've tried dropping POIs on it but the unit doesn't find them. Heck, I don't even know what I can do with the SD card. How do I use content on it?

the sd card can be loaded with maps only with the use of the mapsource program.

Depends on which model

That might be true of some models, Nuvis (3xx and above are what I'm familiar with...) can put MP3s, audio books, and pictures on the SD card that the Nuvis will find and use as designed within them, as well as a destination for POI Loader to save custom POI lists.

I've looked

high and low on this site, Garmin's site, and other sites for the procedure to place maps on an SD card. Nowhere to be found. Is there a link to a tutorial?

Do I connect my c530, run mapinstall, and hope for the best? Does the program ask if I want to install maps to the unit, or the SD card?

I have the CN NA NT 2008 USA map on my GPS and want to add the Canadian map to the SD card without screwing up what is on the GPS. Help!

I recently received a C330, my first GPS. Can you tell me if the SD card is only used for maps, then are there additional maps that can be stored on the card and used with the preloaded maps? Or is the card only used for installing upgrades to the mapsource program?

On the 330, the SD card is only used for loading additional maps and/or map regions beyond those that make up the preloaded maps.

The SD card doesn't have anything to do with installing upgrades to the MapSource program.

Why Garmin

can't supply this info is beyond me. You would think it's a top secret with them.
Thanks for the info. I got Canada on my c530 now.
