A friend has a c330 and is having a problem with his PC not seeing the GPS, in other words when he opens My Computer the c330 doesn't show there, however he is able to use POI loader to send files to the GPSr
Can someone who owns this model verify that the PC is capable of recognizing the c330 as device, he wants do delete unused languages and help files that are not needed and can't do it until the device shows in Explore.
The C330 won't so up in My Computer.
The c3xx line does not show as a flash drive. That is why when you plug in the usb you can still use the device. You can't use the sd card for poi's, and you can't delete any files. You should have about 2 mb for poi's. If you have the new map, you can split it and load canada on the gpsr and the US on the sd card to get more space. Remember that it doesn't play mp3, so no need to load them. Just a waste of space.
This was the first touch screen model for the automotive market 3-4 years ago, so look where we are now. I still think it is a great basic unit for the beginner.
The 330 doesn't show up as a drive. You cannot delete any files from it. All you can do is load POI's on it using the loader.
Hope this helps
the c330 doesnt show as a mass storage device. the only way that you will see them show up is if you are running the poi loader and the updater.
I wanted to share a TTS file with him and see if it works in the C330 as it does in the Nuvi200, guess not.
