Jacko Celeb voice Garmin Nuvi.

Hi,

A friend of mine that does impersonations (ish) has kindly helped me make a Michael Jackson voice for my Garmin. I’ve got this working just fine on my Nuvi 250 and my mates Nuvi 200. It can be downloaded at the following address:

http://www.car-neons.co.uk/English_British_.zip

I think he’s done a good job, the quality probably isn’t as good as an authentic voice but its quite fun. I may play with it a bit more see if I can improve.

!Please note this is 3rd party software and I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your Garmin etc! Although works just fine on the models I’ve tried.

To install download from above link.

Unzip file to reveal .vpm file

Connect Garmin to computer via usb.

!Make a back up off all files on your Garmin!

In my computer click on Garmin folder then voices.

Cut current English_British_.zip and paste on computer.

Copy new file from download and paste in voice folder.

Unplug Garmin. Turn on, click settings- language, Change the language to another one eg English Amercian. Click save then change back to English British click save. This will force the unit to recognise new file.
That should be it.

If you get this working on your unit please let me know, I would like to know what models these work on!

It's on my 660

Ok, I loaded on to the Nuvi 660, and I will let you know how it works out...

words.

Does it say, "Young boy 200 yards to your left" and then giggle?

Does not work well....

I did a test today with the Jackson voice and it does not work well for the 660... It is missing alot of voice commands for the turns... The voice also does not sound very good... So I guess it's back to Never, Never Land.... LOL

Dang it! Thats funny! Thanks for the chuckle!
