Has anyone created a POI list of the best FM frequencies to use with Garmin FM transmitters by location? Does this even make sense?

I'm not sure
I think its a good idea, however, atmospheric conditions change constantly so I don't know how valid the data would be. My Nuvi doesn't have a transmitter, but I have a cheap Belkin FM transmitter for my portable media player. It works great in the morning on my way to work. Later in the day when the traffic is heavier, interference is pretty bad at times, and on the same route. Maybe someone with more experience can offer additional thoughts.

Garmin Has Frequency Suggestions
Garmin has a section on their website in which you can put in a zip code and they will give you some suggested frequencies. I'm trying to find the link

Hi Doc_Brown,
Check out this link:
http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/vacant
Initially type-in your zip code and click on "Go". On the "next page" there's a link for "unused frequencies" within that zip code. Click on that link and it will generate a list of vacant channels, next best channels and third best channels.
Happy hunting...

Shame my little Belkin only does 4 channels in 88.x range.
Very cool though. Is there anything that is not available on the 'Net?!

Awesome!
Now if only GARMIN would include such an app in the devices everything would be awesome.
Thanks for the info, though, very handy indeed!
