Map details in Garmin C330

I could see the difference when I use zoom out feature on maps. If I have selected Most Maps feature and I zoom out, I can see lots of map details but not much details when selected Norma Map option.

I think your default view is too far away. Zoom in and you should see more street names and POI's.

I live in an area with a lot of small dirt roads, and they will not show unless I have "most" selected.

Will zoom in show POIs on the map too? I have noticed that my favorite locations show up in the map when driving by.

Yes, POIS should,but you may need an image tag for them to show.

Thank for your update. I can not see any of my POIs on the map while I am driving by. I have many POIs with image files but they don't show up. I must be doing soemthing wrong? Though I can see them on map when I am not driving. I will appreciate your further help.

On the c340, when setting the level of map detail, there is a map on the right-hand screen with buttons for zooming in and out. If I don't immediately see a difference when choosing "More" or "Most", I can usually zoom out a little, then maybe a little more, and I will begin to see the difference between the varous settings.

The unit will always show fewer streets (and stuff) if you zoom out far enough -- the Map Detail settings allow you to zoom out farther before the detail begins to disappear. Just keep in mind that if you find a particular combination of map detail and zoom level that allows you to see LOTS and LOTS of streets (and other detail) on the screen, you might find that the maps are taking too long to redraw.
