Chatty Charley thread for the week of December 24th 2007

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

Have fun...

This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

This is another way to earn or keep active member status;)

Happy Christmas to all...

Imagine how big Santa's "Favorites" file must be??? smile

One more day! Not sure who

One more day! Not sure who is more excited, me or my daughter. I can't wait to see her open things that we already told her that were too expensive or we couldn't find.

I already bought myself everything I wanted...But I was one of the lucky ones to find a Wii..and my son is going to be Very surprised. He ask for guitar hero 3 for his playstation 2, But I got him the GH3 for wii,.and he will open that first..and be bummed because it is the wrong one...then he can open the Wii..I am so sneaky..

I like the Idea for the next one to be called Chatty Asian Fire... mrgreen

Yeah we got the wii and gh3. We trade on and off, she plays the wii and I play with her new computer. Then she gets bored (in 10 minutes) and we switch off...lol. I really suck at gh3. "Hit me with your best shot" is the only one I can do half way decent and that is on easy. Still haven't gotten past 87%, but I suck at video games. My daughter is much beter then me.

My 18 yr old son is getting very good at it..he has cleared about 20 songs in Hard..He had a real tough time with the Challenge with Slash...it keeps getting harder..which it good. I hate to pay that much for a game and have him finish it in a day. And the Wii Sports games are amazing, you can play for hours..Bowling Golf..no wonder they cant make them fast enough..lol

As you might have guessed I/we are in Seattle until the 9th. Hope you had better weather in OR than we have had in Seattle. Cold and rainy with some dustings of snow but had a whole 40 minutes of sun since Dec. 16th. Still we enjoy being with our kids and grandkids.

christmas

Did anyone get something that was a surprise? My mother got be a portable 7" screen DVD player.
Unfortunately when I opened it, it had been used and returned. The screen was scratched, missing parts and there were cookie crumbs in the DVD tray. My wife took it back for me and exchanged it the day after christmas.

You think that's bad... I heard about this on the news while in Arizona. Seems a parent bought his pre-teen daughter an mp3/mpeg music/video player that had been previously returned. This was at Wal-Mart and it was loaded with porn. Apparently, they are seeking legal counsel...

http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/12/28/xrated.mp3.play...

Hope y'all were good

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and wish everyone a happy and fulfilling new year.

We moved to our new house, phone line at old house was turned off unexpectedly days before it was supposed to have been, finally got new phone connected at new house...however no dsl available. So, I'm limping along on very slow dialup...remember that?! Should have a wireless system in the coming weeks.. in the mean time we're still trying to organize the new place around the holidays and work and tons of other stuff.

Just wanted to check in say hi and hope to be back soon.
